My husband, Kip, and I began researching educational options for our children when we moved from Texas to VA with a job transfer. Unfamiliar with the local schools, our prayerful decision to home school has proved to be one of the greatest blessings we have experienced as parents.

My passion for working with children began in college as I taught pre-kindergarteners and worked with children having mild to severe behavioral and learning disorders between semesters. I received a B.S. degree in Health Care Administration from Texas State University and worked for a short time managing a pediatric therapy clinic. In 1998, with the birth of our oldest daughter, I stepped out of my brief career into the amazing blessing of motherhood. Kip and I now have four children and are blessed to educate them at home.

We were introduced to Classical Conversations in Virginia briefly after our home school journey began. Upon the completion of our first semester participating in CC, we were amazed at the extent to which this program enhanced our home school. From genuine fellowship and support to the well-presented excellent curriculum, this program plays an integral role in the success and richness of our home school.

As I look into the eyes of my children, I am enthralled by God's precious creation; recognizing that He has entrusted them to my husband and I. We delight in the appointed position to train them in the ways of the Lord; educating them in a manner in which they will be equipped to intelligently and effectively communicate God's truth in the world. We are thankful for Classical Conversations, as it is the cornerstone of our home school, and look forward equipping other families with this program to know Christ and make Him known.

I trust God is faithful to utilize my background and love for children to help me effectively partner with other families to train our children to righteousness in pursuit of academic learning.
