Jackie and her husband, Gary, never considered anything but homeschooling for their 6 year old son, Reston. Homeschool was the right place to fulfill their biblical responsibility as parents to know, to love, to teach, and to direct the precious gift of life that God had given them. Jackie had been using the classical approach for several years before finding Classical Conversations (CC). CC provided a systematic approach that integrated a classical education with a biblical viewpoint.
Prior to homeschooling, Jackie spent her entire working career in education. Jackie received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in education and athletic administration, respectively. Her experience includes assistant athletic director at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and physical education instructor at North Carolina State University. Today, as a stay at home mom, Jackie spends her time teaching Reston classically and managing the family affairs of household administration.
“I’m very excited about the CC approach and have a passion to introduce the concept to other classically minded families and assist them in educating their children.” Jackie’s goal is to help promote Classical Conversations, establish campuses, and support program directors in the fulfillment of providing a quality support system that families may enjoy.
