Jennifer Courtney and her husband Tim are thrilled to homeschool their three precious children aged 8, 6, and 3. They made the commitment to homeschool shortly after the birth of their first child. Jennifer felt she had received what others would consider to be a “quality” public education, becoming a National Merit Scholar and later a Rhodes Scholar semi-finalist. However, there was a crucial component missing-- Biblical worldview-- and a consequent weakness in defending the faith. So, armed with the example of homeschooling friends and research from nearly every homeschool book available, they began the journey.

Repeatedly, God drew Jennifer’s heart toward classical education as the best approach for her family. Their homeschool experience received a huge boost with the advent of a local Classical Conversations group. “We love meeting with other like-minded families to fellowship and learn about the world God has created,” Jennifer says. Jennifer is currently directing a Foundations program and tutoring for Essentials.

Prior to homeschooling, Jennifer briefly taught Rhetoric at the University of Illinois and worked in Information Sales for Experian. Jennifer hopes to combine her academic and professional experience to spread the blessing of Classical Conversations throughout the state of Oklahoma. “I’m thrilled to have found CC and feel extremely privileged to assist other families who desire to classically educate their children.
