Story of the World has an activity book to go along with the history book if you want to spend the extra money. In the back of the Story of the world activity book, there are masters for worksheets, games and coloring pages. Also included is a memory card to go with every chapter. While doing CC, it really isn't necessary to add that extra memory work. It's fun to add it to the timeline if you have it available. But it's certainly not necessary! =-) I scanned the cards into my computer and shrank them so they would fit on my timeline better.

Thanks for sharing, that is a great idea. Could you clarify, what is Story of the World memory card master?

Thanks,
Gabby

Homemade Timeline Book Idea 5 Years ago
I scanned the front of my timeline cards, and story of the world memory card masters into the computer. This allows me to shrink them to whatever size I need. Then printed out reduced sizes of the history sentences from the resource disk.

Then I bought a 3 subject composition book (120 pages). The timeline fits perfectly in this book. On the last page I put the year 2000 to the present AD, and then counted backwards, allowing a 50 year time period for a two page spread. Counting backwards, the last section works out to be from 2000AD to 100BC, the middle section 149BC to 2100BC, and then about 4 to 6 pages before the middle section I devoted to 'prehistory'. The rest of the pages in the first section could be left for 1 sentence narrations, writing out history sentences or a few drawings(if you want you could number the narrations and correspond that numbering with the pictures you paste on the timeline).

I'm using this with my 6yo daughter this year =-), and thought I would share the idea.
