An Easter Message From CEO Robert Bortins

Think back a year to last Easter. To say these 12 months have been difficult is an understatement. People have experienced tragedy like never before. Depression, anxiety, and loneliness are the norm for many worldwide, causing some to seek any sort of escape just to make the days bearable. Even the most faithful of Christians can understandably have moments of doubt during these times, moments of questioning.

But, as difficult as it is to remember during times like these, this earth is not our true home. Indeed, the Lord is preparing a home for us right now. However, just because our time on earth is temporary doesn’t mean we should ignore our reason for being here — that is, to share the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection and what it means for all of us.

A Lesson From the First Easter

In Luke 24, we read about another group of Christians who experienced great tragedy — the women among Jesus’s disciples after the death of their beloved Leader. As they approached the empty tomb, an angel appeared to them saying, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!”

These women found the good news that day. They returned to the rest of the disciples and announced that Jesus was alive.

Something To Remember This Year

As Christians, we, too, know this good news and have a duty to share it with others in our lives. Over the past year, people have experienced great tragedy. They need to hear the good news — Jesus loves them so much to die for them, only to rise again to prepare a new home, so they do not have to experience the woes of this world forever.

So while we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection this Easter season, let us remember this, and let us welcome others into the Lord’s embrace.

May the Lord keep and bless you, for He is risen, indeed. Have a wonderful Easter!
